Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analysis, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas, etc.) is a plus!
  • Interest in lean six sigma and/or continuous improvement
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize broad workload to meet deadlines in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think through problems and apply solution-oriented strategies
  • Ability to streamline processes
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to meaningful projects

Responsibilities

  • Gain knowledge of interdepartmental dependencies and hands-on experience with day-to-day operations activies and processes from functional leaders throughout the AME Operation
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation across operations by analyzing current processes, gathering stakeholder input, and assessing feasibility
  • Champion change and strategic problem solving through influencing and building relationships with peers, business partners, and external stakeholders
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess, monitor and evaluate performance of current processes and proposed and implemented improvements
  • Drive optimal solutions with the identification and adoption of best practices by partnering with functional leaders and gathering and utilizing data from outside organizations
  • Streamline and/or document current AME Operations processes to support stakeholder visibility & best practice sharing across the organization
  • Collaborate with members of the AME Operations leadership team as well as associates across the Operations organization in forums such as stakeholder interviews, presentations, workshops, etc.
