About The Position

BHE GT&S is offering a summer internship for rising Juniors majoring in Chemical, Process, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering at their Hastings Extraction Plant in Pine Grove, WV. The internship will last a minimum of 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension, and involves various engineering tasks related to NGL extraction facilities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a 4 year ABET accredited Chemical, Process, Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's degree program.
• Must be a rising Junior by summer 2025.
• Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
• Detail oriented.
• Self-directed.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Ability to plan and organize work.
• Possess analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation/documentation of Annual LDAR Method 21 Survey for NGL Extraction Facilities.
• Assist with update of NGL Operating Procedures.
• Assist with preparation of data for Control Room Management Annual Alarm Review.
• Assist with Capital Project supervision.
• Research/Develop de-ethanizer technology for Power Utilization Optimization.
• Assist with outage planning for 2026 outage.
