About The Position

Interns at Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines & Horizon Air join teams throughout different departments and work on visible projects that impact our guests and business. Beyond hands-on experience, interns also get the opportunity to network with fellow employees and company leaders through various intern events and programming. This internship is for summer 2026. Our internships are full-time for 12 weeks, and we offer two program timelines to align with different academic calendars. This internship will be located in SeaTac, WA. If not already in the internship city, candidates will be required to relocate for the duration of the internship.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a quantitative degree program, including but not limited to Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Statistics.
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Experience interpreting data visualizations to extract meaningful conclusions.
• Adaptable to diving deep into operational and commercial data in a fast-paced ambiguous environment with diverse stakeholders.
• Interest in learning about Network Planning and the airline business.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Learn data sources and processes related to Network Planning, such as forecasting models, industry demand and performance data, industry capacity, and scheduling tools.
• Collaborate with various operational and commercial teams to ensure alignment between capacity plans and seasonal schedules.
• Provide support on an analytically driven project in partnership with a Market Planning, Network Insights, or Scheduling analyst, including a presentation of findings to department leaders at the end of the internship.
