A Marine/Mechanical Engineering Intern should have a willingness to learn the development for designs of marine vessels and floating structures, such as ships, barges, tugs, etc. and performs calculations necessary to assist in the design and fabrication of such vessels. Internship requires completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies from an accredited college or university pursuing an engineering degree. The ideal candidate in pursuit of a B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineer, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering or equivalent with knowledge in vessel design development, vessel arrangements, piping system design, machinery selection, machinery design, and design integration for marine vessels such as oceangoing vessels, patrol vessels, offshore support vessels, research vessels, tugs, and barges. This role will collaborate within a multi-discipline team in an effort to fully develop, deliver and complete a successful project. As part of this collaborative effort, this role requires the presence of the individual working within a group setting, with regular interaction during meetings and one-on-one, face-to-face discussions with other individuals on the team on a daily basis.
