About The Position

At Chamberlain Group, our internship program is designed to immerse you in real, meaningful projects that are integral to our business strategy and transformation. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative access solutions that are part of our myQ digital ecosystem, which enhances the way customers interact with their homes and businesses. You will be involved in developing and maintaining development platforms for the myQ program, which includes middleware that serves as the foundation for both residential and commercial applications. This role will require you to apply your knowledge of software engineering principles and practices while collaborating with various teams including Engineering, Product Ownership, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Customer Service. Your contributions will help translate product requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that the development aligns with product owner expectations and maintains a high-quality code base. In this position, you will work using Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, to develop middleware solutions. You will analyze requirements and collaborate with architects and senior engineers to produce thoughtful software designs that are of moderate scope and complexity. Participation in peer reviews and pull requests will be essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. You will also contribute to technical discussions in community practice, design reviews, and other technical forums, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices to create reusable code. This internship not only provides you with hands-on experience but also offers development and skills training, networking opportunities, mentorship, and community engagement through volunteer outings.
