This intern role is with Mobile Crisis at The Opportunity Alliance. There is a possibility of a shared internship with mobile and the Maine Crisis Line. Type of placement: First and second year master's social work, second year LCPC, senior year undergraduate (any related, especially social work) Characteristics desired in intern: Curiosity, desire to work as a team, ability to work independently, interest in crisis intervention/assessment, flexibility. What intern will learn: Learn suicide assessment and crisis intervention skills. Gain knowledge of community resources. Participate in treatment planning. Develop clinical documentation skills. Navigating the mental health system Working in a multidisiplinary team setting Develop advocacy skills. Gain first hand experience is working with individuals in mental health crisis Individual counseling and family work – 2nd year MSW, LCPC interns only.
