Basic Function Provides support to the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) department. The candidate will work onsite at our Kansas City headquarters to support EHS staff by assisting with departmental operations, including data entry and implementation of a new laboratory chemical inventory tracking database. Nature and Scope This position reports to the EHS department leadership and may receive direction from other staff within the department. This position is expected to work on tasks both independently and as a team member to support EHS operations, including entering and maintaining laboratory chemical inventory information, organizing departmental records, and supporting general EHS administrative functions while allowing scientific staff to remain focused on project work.

Requirements

  • College student pursuing a degree in environmental science, occupational safety, health sciences, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • Ability to work onsite at our Kansas City headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Assists EHS staff with administrative and operational support activities.
  • Enters and maintains laboratory chemical inventory information in a new chemical tracking database.
  • Organizes departmental information, records, and documentation.
  • Effectively communicates and works with EHS staff and other internal and external stakeholders in a team‑based environment.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting priorities while completing assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
