Requirements

  • Enrolled in a four year degree program in a related field with one or more years of college completed.
  • Must have computer skills either through experience or classes.
  • Ability to communicate with vendors, service providers and all levels of employees.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to operations management with respect to surveying, drilling and blasting, exploration, reserve evaluation and mine modelling for permitting and mine planning purposes.
  • Participate in safety training and overview of plant operations for all products.
  • Gain an understanding of aggregate operations and the 3-year mine planning process.
  • Learn about plant processes, KPI's, and production reports.
  • Train as ground person, equipment operator, and plant operator.
  • Understand components of predictive maintenance program.
  • Introduction to the engineering process including 3 year cap ex plan, Aggflow analysis, right size mobile equipment, cost saving initiatives, and project payback criteria.
