Micron Ventures is a strategic investment team focused on identifying and supporting high‑potential technologies at the intersection of the semiconductor industry and artificial intelligence. The team partners closely with internal leaders and external innovators to drive long‑term growth and technology advancement for Micron.
The intern in this role supports core investment activities, including evaluating emerging technologies, contributing to due diligence, and preparing insights that inform strategic investment decisions. This position offers exposure to venture investing, semiconductor market dynamics, and early‑stage AI innovation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business (MBA preferred), or a related technical or analytical field.
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling capabilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AI tools, frameworks, and semiconductor industry fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

• Support evaluation of prospective investments through financial modeling, business analysis, and competitive assessments.
• Assist in due diligence activities, including reviewing data rooms, analyzing industry dynamics, and preparing investment memos.
• Conduct market research, including landscape studies and trend analyses across the semiconductor ecosystem and emerging AI technologies.
• Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for internal leadership to support investment recommendations.
• Contribute to deal sourcing efforts by identifying high‑potential AI startups and engaging with founders.
