Requirements

  • Education Level Required: Associate’s /Bachelor's
  • If bachelor’s rising Junior (completed 2 years by start)
  • Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related engineering discipline.
  • Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and time management.
  • Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer concepts.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, or similar) and interest in developing design and modeling skills.
  • Exposure to engineering drawings, schematics, or P&IDs through coursework or projects.

  • Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in [field or tools] is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering design activities, including updating CAD models and engineering documentation related to facility systems.
  • Perform quality checks and reviews of construction drawings to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with engineering standards.
  • Assist in the reviewing of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for mechanical and utility systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project stakeholders to support ongoing engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with data entry, documentation management, and project tracking to maintain accurate engineering and project records.
