About The Position

This position is part of the Summer Internship Program, which is scheduled to run from, Wednesday, May 27th through Friday, July 31st , potentially extending through mid-August based on the decision of the hiring manager and department. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the program to ensure a consistent and meaningful learning experience. The Intern for Marketing (Graphic Design) is responsible for helping promote the mission and purpose of Gulf Coast Bank & Trust to the community. Duties may include and are not limited to, assisting the marketing team with various events and completing tasks related to various bank-related email marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree, recent graduates may be considered.
  • Academic majors in Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Design, or similar fields of study, preferred.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of original and visually compelling designs for the bank’s ads, flyers, emails, website, social media, digital banking platform, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging concepts and visuals that communicate key messages effectively.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into visually appealing infographics and illustrations.
  • Ensure consistency in brand representation across all channels.
  • Stay up to date on design trends and best practices.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and deliver high-quality graphics.
  • Assist in design and managing design files across all media to be delivered.
  • Adjusts technical/mechanical design features as well as photo retouching/image manipulation tasks that relate to any design needs.
  • Participate in assigned projects.
  • Support the day-to-day processes and tasks relating to channel system maintenance, setup, reporting and internal support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
