About The Position

Koniag Government Services is looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to support our MarCom team. This is a remote opportunity. The Marketing & Communications Intern will gain experience in digital marketing, professional writing, and corporate communications. This role involves assisting in the development of marketing collateral, content and internal repositories to support business development and growth, managing social media content, and supporting internal and external communications.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of AP Style preferred.
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint highly desired.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign) or CMS platforms (WordPress) is a plus.
  • A creative eye for design, photography, or videography is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review content for social media (LinkedIn), blogs, corporate Intranet, and website updates.
  • Update and post content and monitor engagement
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, webinars, and virtual or in-person outreach activities.
  • Maintain marketing supply inventory, organize digital assets, and assist with general office tasks.
