ID1 High Volume Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leveraging area knowledge to optimize area performance and reduce cycle time. A Manufacturing Engineer collaborates with PD, ATE, PEE, ME and IE teams to expedite product movement and reacts to process issues that could impact quality.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering degree or equivalent semiconductor industry experience; however, other engineering or related disciplines may be considered.
  • Must be a current student, and must not graduate before September 2026
  • Basic understanding of the Fab process areas including area processing equipment
  • Strong understanding of SPC principles
  • Advanced understanding of area process quality control systems (Qual System, SPACE, Targeting…others)
  • Hands-on experience in the field of data analytics, preferably with experience querying databases
  • Experience or knowledge in one or more scripting, programming and visualization tools (i.e. Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, Microsoft Suite)
  • Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently organize tasks and projects
  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively
  • Intermediate data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with safety policies and regulations
  • Ensures proper tool documentation/reaction mechanisms exist and submits updates to content
  • Applies manufacturing science concepts to analyze workstation performance concerns and partners with stakeholders to manage and resolve
  • Supports analysis of data, highlights key trends and issues, and identifies potential solutions for area issues
  • Analyze and optimize area queue times to reduce cycle time and breaches
  • Understand and execute to redundancy options to address constraint workstations
  • Leads efforts with area stakeholders to sustain and improve execution to area KPIs
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to create Best Known Methods (BKMs) and procedures to implement across shifts
  • Partners with Equipment and Process owners to resolve tool/process setup issues to maximize workstation output
  • Leads area continuous improvement projects to ensure deliverables are completed within scope and on schedule
  • Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of new systems and provides feedback prior to implementation
