About The Position

The industries we serve include commercial aerospace, defense, advanced computing, next generation telecommunications, complex industrials, medical, and semiconductor capital equipment. This is a Manufacturing/Process Engineering Internship with emphasis on precision machining and assembly process for new products. This opportunity is temporary employment for engineering or robotics students who are seeking an internship in a manufacturing facility. This is a paid internship for 40 hours (except holidays) and begins in April/May 2025 and continues onto the fall and spring semesters. This internship is located in Concord, CA and will require 100% on site attendance. Flexible schedules are available during the school year.

Requirements

  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Analyze complex instructions to assess for flaws/clarity
  • Utilize hand/power and precision CNC and assembly tools
  • Ideally pursuing degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or other relevant engineering majors

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly and machining of prototypes
  • Participate in implementation of customer design requirements
  • Aid in development of manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), Sustaining Engineering, and CNC Programming
  • Aid in development and execution of product build instructions
  • Collaborate with engineering peers on early prototype manufacturing
  • Collaborate with engineering peers on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews for design enhancement
  • Verify completed work, checking dimensions, materials to be used and quantities per the verification plan

  • Compensation: $21.00/hour for Undergraduate students and $23/hour for Graduate students
