The Lighting Intern will work with production leadership, lighting staff, and technical production teams to support the maintenance and operation of lighting consoles, systems, and equipment across Dr. Phillips Center venues. This hands-on internship provides practical experience in lighting setup, troubleshooting, programming support, and live event execution for theatrical productions, musical performances, meetings, and special event rentals. The intern will assist with equipment preparation, load-in, rehearsals, performances, and strike, while gaining exposure to lighting console operation and overall production workflow in a multi-venue performing arts facility. In addition, the intern will gain introductory experience supporting the lighting design process by observing design implementation, assisting with basic documentation updates, and helping facilitate communication between production team members under supervision. Opportunities to shadow technical staff and collaborate with related departments will provide a well-rounded understanding of how lighting supports both production and guest experience. This internship will run from June 1, 2026- August 7, 2026.
