JOB PURPOSE: This role provides broad exposure to in-house legal work, including real estate, land use, disputes/litigation, and contractual matters. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting legal operations and collaborating with internal teams on a variety of legal issues.

Requirements

Current JD candidate with at least one year of law school completed.
Successfully completed coursework in real estate, contracts, and torts (business organizations coursework is a plus but not ).
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A proactive mindset and attention to detail.
A sense of humor and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the automotive or insurance industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist the operations team with litigation matters, including drafting responses to complaints.
Communicate with local governments on land use and zoning matters.
Draft, review, interpret, and summarize lease provisions.
Support the real estate team in resolving landlord disputes.
Collaborate with a team of four lawyers and a paralegal on various legal projects as needed.
