About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Summer Intern to support our in-house legal team. This role offers hands-on experience within a publicly traded company, with a primary focus on assisting in the implementation and optimization of a contract management system. The intern will also gain exposure to a broad range of corporate legal functions, including governance, compliance, and commercial contracting. Position is full-time with a 9am-5pmschedule, Monday thru Thursday in the office and Friday from home. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) with an interest in corporate or business law
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with legal or contract management software is a plus
  • Project management skills are a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation and rollout of a contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, including data entry, contract migration, and organization of existing agreements
  • Review, categorize, and summarize contracts to ensure accurate tracking and reporting within the system
  • Support the legal team in maintaining contract templates and standard terms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, procurement, sales) to gather and organize contract-related information
  • Conduct basic legal research on corporate, compliance, and governance matters
  • Assist with preparation of internal documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal department as needed
