WATG is hiring an Intern in Landscape Architecture for our Tustin and Los Angeles offices . ROLE The Landscape Architecture Intern performs basic landscape architectural assignments to obtain professional experience. The Landscape Intern provides essential design and technical support to members of the team and assists with the preparation and updating of project deliverables. The Landscape Intern will research, develop concept design, prepare documentation, drawings and sketches, and complete general administrative tasks for the Studio.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Landscape Architecture or related field
  • Completed third year of an undergraduate program or first year of a graduate program and are returning to the program post-internship
  • Experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam

Nice To Haves

  • Freehand illustration and rendering skills, digital graphic skills, and visualization desired

Responsibilities

  • Works on landscape architecture projects as a fully collaborative member of a design team, participating in design charrettes to help define strategic goalsâ for our clients, large or small
  • Receives hands-on learning and collaborates with landscape designers and architects, directors, and managers to plan, design, develop, andâ gain real-world experience working with clients and consultants
  • Produces graphic presentations, 2D and 3D renderings, and technical drawings
  • Builds physical study models and presentation models
  • Assists the design team with research
  • Utilizes hand-rendering techniques to communicate design concepts
