Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business. The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Jr. Year).
  • Knowledge of Oracle SQL & PL/SQL programming, Data Base concepts.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as JAVA or PYTHON and C++ or C is required.
  • Knowledge in Data Structures and Programming.
  • Strong understanding of GenAI concepts and models, with a particular interest in large language models (LLMs) like Gemini.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Power Point, Excel, Visio and Word.
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Ability to document requirements and keen attention to details.
  • Ability to speak in front of teams that include both business and IT partners.
  • Self-Driven & Ability to Interact with teams.

Responsibilities

  • Explore the capabilities of GenAI models like Gemini for warehouse and distribution automation.
  • Identify and prioritize manual tasks within the warehouse and distribution center (DC) suitable for automation.
  • Develop and prototype GenAI-powered solutions to automate tasks related to picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Focus on solutions that can improve the productivity and efficiency of DC workers.
  • Automate the generation of reports related to warehouse operations, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze warehouse and distribution data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of implemented solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse operations, IT, and data science, to implement and optimize automation solutions.
  • Document all development processes, solutions, and findings.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Create Pseudo Algorithms and Code using latest technology such as RPA (Software Bots).
  • Use of databases such as Oracle, Postgres, MySQL.
  • Assist with projects using a hands-on approach.
