This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, which includes the ability to work from home, while also requiring to be in person as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri.

Requirements

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week for the entire 10-week program
  • Must reside in the St. Louis area for the duration of the 10-week program with the ability to come onsite as needed
  • Must be a current student pursuing a degree in communications, public relations or a related field with a 3.0 GPA or higher and a graduation date of either December 2026 or May 2027
  • Experience developing business and/or technical communications
  • Experience leading projects and influencing/gaining consensus from peers and leaders
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Internship or relevant work experience
  • Ability to successfully balance participation in extracurricular activities or work, in addition to academics
  • Experience with SharePoint publishing
  • Simple video editing skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities, or team projects in support of academics
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software
  • Experience formatting various types of collateral, including one-pagers/flyers, infographics, presentations, web graphics, etc. adhering to brand standards

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with a mentor while finding solutions to real world problems
  • Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities
  • Interact directly with our company leaders to learn about our IT strategy and initiatives
  • Adhere to standards and follow documented procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and customers
  • Assist with task automation and process improvements, as directed
  • Assist in developing proactive employee to support key IT initiatives, with an emphasis on improving employee engagement
  • Attend collaboration meetings with leadership to help craft, organize and promote messages in within IT communications channels
  • Create high-quality communications on technical or workforce services topics that may include presentations, short videos, emails, social-media style articles, intranet content, etc.
