About The Position

This position will play a hands-on role in working with our Help Desk to support end-users, assisting System Administrators to maintain HAU’s enterprise systems, and strengthen our cybersecurity posture. This internship is designed for a rising student who is passionate about IT administration, network engineering, cybersecurity and eager to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-world systems.

Requirements

  • Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Current GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred

  • Ability to work in ticketing systems, documentation tools, and spreadsheets
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel 5-10% when required.

Responsibilities

  • Updating and organizing IT documentation and knowledge bases.
  • Performing basic system monitoring and reporting.
  • Manage Users and Computers creation in Active Directory and Microsoft O365.
  • Work with IT team to manage workstation setup, software installation, patching, updates, and other helpdesk ticket submitted by users.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining documentation for network infrastructure including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Review and clean up Active Directory security groups to ensure appropriate and least-privilege access.
  • Help track cyber security compliance documentation and audit artifacts related to CMMC 2.0 and NIST SP 800-171 standards.
