About The Position

Exciting Internship Opportunity – IT Audit Internship in Burlington, NC! Join Labcorp’s 2026 Global Internship Program and take the first step toward a meaningful career in healthcare innovation! We’re looking for motivated students to be part of a dynamic 11-week paid internship where you’ll work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience, all while supporting our mission to improve health and improve lives. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with IT systems and basic understanding of audit principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assessing IT controls and processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits related to cybersecurity, data protection, and IT risk management.
  • Participate in testing and documentation of IT systems and controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technology-related risks.
  • Complete training courses to enhance IT audit skills and stay current with industry best practices.
