Your career awaits. Nelnet Financial Services (NFS) is seeking an intern to join the NFS investments team, with a focus on structured finance investments/asset management. The hire will assist with a wide range of tasks related to the investment process including risk assessment, underwriting and performance tracking.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
- Relevant coursework in finance, accounting and business
- Attention to detail.
- PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to learn new processes.
- Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.
- Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
- Good work ethic and habits.
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship in finance or accounting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide investment analysis assistance across various specialty finance asset classes including consumer unsecured, auto, small business, home improvement and other loan types
- Collaborate internally with employees and departments to accomplish work projects
- Maintain and update comparable deal tracker
- Complete special projects as assigned by management
- Manage multiple conflicting priorities & consistently meet deadlines
