About The Position

As an Intern, Investments (Quantitative Research), you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting investment analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making. You’ll work closely with professionals across the Investments and Technology teams to support portfolio management, risk analysis, and reporting initiatives. This internship is designed for students who are curious, analytical, and eager to apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting while developing professional skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior at an accredited university.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Mathematics, or Quantitative Mathematics preferred
  • Coursework or hands-on experience related to quantitative analysis, data, or investments
  • Exposure to one or more programming or data tools such as SQL, VBA, and/or Python (academic or project-based experience welcomed)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn and grow

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer
  • Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs.)

Responsibilities

  • Research industry best practices related to investment portfolio management, asset allocation, risk management, and performance attribution
  • Support day-to-day reporting for the quantitative research team and help develop new insights and performance measures
  • Collaborate with asset class teams to provide data access tools and quantitative support for daily operations
  • Partner with investment and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Assist with problem-solving, research, and issue resolution related to investment analytics and data
  • Participate in a capstone project that highlights your contributions and learning throughout the internship
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
  • Take on additional projects as needed to support departmental and company goal
