About The Position

Join Kroll's Global Investigation Diligence & Compliance Team and gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of Investigation Diligence & Compliance. We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to contribute as new joiners here at Kroll. Through a combination of expertise, global research capabilities and flexible technology tools, the Intern, Investigation Diligence & Compliance practice of Kroll helps clients take a risk-based approach toward meeting obligations or remediating failures regarding anti-bribery, anti-corruption and related regulatory mandates. This internship will be particularly focused on developing your open-source intelligence (OSINT) and social media investigations skills - the building blocks of modern investigations. Requirements

  • Availability to work roughly 20 hours (or more) per week remotely, with opportunities to work in-person from a local Kroll office.
  • Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited US college or university.
  • Major GPA of at least 3.5.
  • Native or equivalent English language proficiency in reading comprehension.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2025 - December 2027.
  • Extremely strong English-language writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize several projects and assignments on multiple topics while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to conduct online research using various primary and secondary sources.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to understand, accept and apply constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Support the overall research and investigative due diligence process at the company.
  • Conduct increasingly complex English and Spanish-language research using public record databases, commercial and proprietary databases, media sources and the Internet.
  • Perform detailed reviews of subjects' digital footprints using OSINT techniques, focusing on social media content.
  • Conduct social media analysis within an agreed framework of reputational causes of concern.
  • Assist with analyzing and synthesizing relevant research findings.
  • Write well-structured, concise, logical and objective reports to provide accurate assessments of findings.
