Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 We are looking for a full-time Interior Design Intern to join our team! Emplify Health provides a professional internship experience focused on interior design across diverse environments including healthcare, office spaces, retail, and hospitality settings. This program offers expertise in creating purposeful spaces that balance user comfort, functional requirements, and industry-specific regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post–high school educational program in a related field, including Interior Design or a closely related field.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exposure to design, architecture, or construction-related environments preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to interpret construction documents and floor plans
- Understanding of finishes, furniture systems, and wayfinding principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability to changing project needs and organizational priorities
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of Bluebeam, Revit, or Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support interior design project work including budgeting, space planning, material and finish selections, and documentation updates.
- Organize and maintain the interior design materials library (samples, binders, digital references).
- Structure and maintain AutoCAD files to ensure drawing standards and file integrity.
- Assist with finish schedules, furniture specifications, layouts, and presentation materials.
- Coordinate vendor samples, track deliveries, and manage returns.
- Participate in site walks, field verification, and photo documentation.
- Take meeting notes and track project action items.
- Assist with signage and wayfinding coordination, including layout updates and vendor communication.
- Perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
- Adhere to regular and predictable attendance in a hybrid work environment
