About The Position

The IT Support Intern role is designed to provide end-user support, ensuring that the company meets its sales and profitability goals through exceptional customer service. The intern will perform preventative maintenance on PC hardware, manage inventory, and assist with project tasks while adhering to company policies and standards.

Requirements

• High School Senior education level.
• Knowledge of Microsoft-based software applications and desktop/server operating systems.
• Valid Driver's License or ability to access worksites.
• Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizing workflow.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, multi-task, and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of IT disciplines including technical architecture, Network, Office 365, Unix/Linux, Virtualization, DHCP, Telecommunications Networks, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, iSeries AS400, SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support by answering calls and resolving issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance for PC hardware including antivirus and Windows updates.
• Ensure proper inventory tracking and disposal of equipment.
• Track support issues and provide solutions and ad-hoc training to users.
• Collaborate with IT Tier-3 engineers and project management on defined project tasks.
• Install laptops, desktops, and hardware as needed.
• Work with management and corporate leadership on projects and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Exhibit regular and predictable attendance and work outside of normal hours as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
