About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge and practice of HUTCHINSON Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements
Responsible for all aspects of cell design and plant layouts.
Participate as part of the program launch team for cell and work optimization.
Develop and conduct DOEs to optimize the process in terms of quality and throughput.
Lead continuous improvement activities to improve throughput, quality, and uptime.
Analyze and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
Conduct time and motion studies to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Utilize data analysis and statistical methods to drive decision-making.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Prepare and present reports on project status, findings, and recommendations.
Develop and create process models and simulations using Flex Sim, Promodel, or Simul8.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited program for a bachelor’s or master's degree in industrial engineering.
• Engineering Level Mathematics
• Statics
• Microsoft Office Products, 2d and 3d CAD, FlexSim, ProModel, or Simul8.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in industrial engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
