ROSEN USA, based in Houston, TX seeks talented individuals for an In-Field Validation Technician – INTERN. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated college and technical students who want to gain valuable industry insight into the mid-stream oil and gas industry.

Requirements

  • Students pursuing AAS (Associate Applied Science) in Pipeline Integrity Technology through OSUIT or equivalent program.
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
  • TWIC (transportation workers identification credentials) card a plus.
  • Willingness to travel during the duration of the Internship.
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing schedules and tight timelines.
  • Able to follow established HSE and DOT procedures.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Ability to work individually, as well as in a team environment with minimum supervision.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing inspection equipment and supporting equipment for transportation to the job site.
  • Assisting customers and field personnel by supporting the pre-excavation planning.
  • Proper on-site location identification and accurate locating of target anomaly on the pipe.
  • Appropriate selection of NDT techniques and data collection for comprehensive pipeline examination report.
  • Supporting ILI calibration and verification efforts across multiple ILI technologies.
  • Performing NDT techniques including UT, MPI, Laser Scanner, and Visual Inspection for defect and pipeline material identification and characterization.
  • Conducting inspection work 75% of the time in the field to support ILI activities.
