About The Position

We integrate public and commercial sector strategies to help federal health, benefits, and human services agencies achieve their missions efficiently with lasting impact. Our work delivers positive outcomes for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and its agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Food and Drug Administration, and the National Institutes of Health. The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcasing the Guidehouse culture, and providing them with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience. Highlights of our Internship Program include: 10-week experience in Summer 2026 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 8 and run until Friday, August 14) Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor Lead) Mid-Point and Final Evaluations Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event Networking & Social Activities and Events Intern Speaker Series Collaborative Group Projects Our Interns help our clients improve their business processes, internal controls, operating efficiency, transparency and performance management, and ability to comply with federal laws and regulations. During your assignment, you will be given the opportunity to support projects to address some of the most significant project challenges faced by federal clients. Guidehouse projects are extremely fluid and require self-motivated individuals willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients' senior management and enhance their skills in the areas of technical competency, business development, client service and people development. Throughout the internship, you will have the chance to work with our internal teams on the assigned project/contract, meet with upper management to reflect on your personal and professional development, and socialize with your fellow interns during outings/activities. As an Intern, you will work with an experienced team to support the development of client deliverables, internal and client presentations, day-to-day project logistics, and any additional project tasks. This position provides individuals the opportunity to serve clients across a wide variety of functions including strategy, process improvement, analytics, accounting, information technology, communications, and project management. Requirements

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
  • Degree Status: Bachelor's Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027)
  • Ability to adhere to on-site work schedules in the Washington, D.C. or Atlanta metro areas as directed
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now or anytime in the future; Students possessing F-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher level of federal/government security clearance (US Citizenship is one of the requirements for security clearance).

Nice To Haves

  • Degree concentration in Accounting, Business, Communications, Economics, Finance, Health Policy, Management/Information System, Public Health, Public Policy, or other related STEM majors is preferred
  • Previous internship or work experience preferred
  • Naturally curious problem-solver, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Knowledge of federal or commercial healthcare industry
  • Heightened attention to detail, and the ability to create and edit technical and non-technical written work products and graphical presentations
  • Knowledge of Business Analytics software (SAS/R/Python) and/or SQL, a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles and the phases of project management (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closure)
  • Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to participate in client-facing discussions and meetings
  • Desire to support public sector clients with a healthcare mission
  • Passionate about reinvesting in the company you work for and representing the company’s brand
