You’ll get hands-on experience across hardware and software troubleshooting, device configuration and product fulfillment as we develop and use camera systems for our customers.

Requirements

  • Technically proficient. You’re familiar with the Linux command line and Bash.
  • A hands-on mentality. You’re comfortable working with physical hardware, cabling and structured inspections.
  • Mechanically inclined. You’re able to use basic hand tools like screwdrivers and hex keys to handle sensitive electronics.
  • Curious. You have a strong desire to understand how things work, from physical components to serial log output.
  • Detail-oriented. You’re skilled at catching and precisely documenting small defects and take the initiative to investigate broken items.
  • A team player. You’re collaborative, flexible and communicate clearly in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Networking basics. You have experience with IP addressing or Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Relevant experience. You’ve previously worked in a hardware lab, as a field technician or in a technical internship.
  • Industry interest. You have a keen interest in camera technology, wearables or the sports industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our lab and fleet. You'll organize and maintain the hardware lab and device inventory to ensure all test units are charged and accessible for the team.
  • Handle lifecycle maintenance. You’ll keep test devices updated with the latest firmware and software for both current production and development builds.
  • Triage and repair devices. You’ll be the first line of defense for troubleshooting returned hardware, performing basic repairs and documenting why a product failed.
  • Support in-field testing. You'll assist with local venue testing to evaluate how our hardware performs in the real world.
  • Document defects. You’ll log test results, identify failure patterns and clearly document or escalate defects to our engineering team.
  • Own fulfillment operations. You’ll configure, package and manage the shipping and intake for our early-access program test devices.
  • Create process documentation. You’ll write step-by-step guides (SOPs) for repeatable lab management and device recovery workflows.

Benefits

  • Ask you to make an impact. You're part of the team—that means you'll have real responsibilities. We want to hear what you think and see what you can do.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But even if you’re taking advantage of the opportunity to work remotely, we’ll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
  • Develop your career. On top of working alongside some of the best professionals in the business and gaining real-world experience, we’ll give you extra opportunities like lunch-and-learns and access to curated libraries to round out your internship.
  • Support your wellbeing. You’ll have an entire team on your side to give advice and provide answers to your questions, plus more resources like topic-specific Slack channels and employee resource groups. In short, we have you covered.
