About The Position

The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Over the course of 10 - 12 weeks our interns gain industry experience while working alongside our talented team on meaningful projects. The BioMarin Global Study Operations function is tasked with providing strategic direction on the feasibility, design, and conduct of clinical studies and drives the delivery of high-quality data to support the registration and approval of clinical development assets. The function achieves this through the development and operationalization of Clinical Development Plans, study planning and delivery, cross-functional leadership of Study Execution Teams, operational trial expertise, and vendor management and oversight. JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT: The GSO intern will support BioMarin’s Global Study Operations team in enhancing cross-functional understanding and internal capabilities through supporting the development of training materials, instructional videos, and resource toolkits. This role is ideal for a student passionate about clinical operations, digital learning, and scientific communication.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or Masters candidate enrolled in a life science, public health, communications, or related discipline.
  • Strong interest in clinical research operations and digital learning.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail, self-starter
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications (Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours a week.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program.
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles. Some positions will be open to remote interns, but employee must be within United States borders.
