BHE GT&S has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering student within our Gas Measurement Engineering Department at our General Office Building in Bridgeport, WV. We are seeking highly motivated Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering students who are willing to work in an industrial environment. Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Create and maintain SCADA History Reports Assist with rebuild of Hands-On M&R. Assist with refresh and upgrades on Gas Quality trailer. Meter Inventory Audits (as part of any field visit). Map GPS Coordinates for various groupings of locations Maintain specialist & MC&C equipment list with updated vendor contacts & price estimates. Maintain M&R Estimate Spreadsheet - update prices, validation checks. Conduct Capacity Reviews - assist & collect data. Conduct Ultrasonic calibration audits (AGA 9 compliance). Gas Sampling - pull data from databases to review quantity of samples/area. Analyze historical data based at critical feeds for issues with flow or pressure controls Review & Update LAUFG Zone Maps. Build Zone Meter Offset Reports (LAUFG). Individuals must have a desire to learn and produce as part of a safety conscious workplace. An independent source of transportation for this summer 2026 internship is needed as there is limited public transportation options in the area. Your summer internship will be a minimum of 8 weeks on site (June 1 - July 24). Please note: the internship could be extended for up to 11 weeks considering your summer schedule and the needs of the business. Successful candidates who are 50 miles or more from the assigned work location may be eligible for a one-time housing stipend.
