About The Position

The Finance Intern will learn from experts who have helped the ARS network become the national leader in the residential home services space for HVAC, plumbing and electrical service. The intern will be assigned a day-to-day manager that will provide continuous feedback and the opportunity for professional development and networking opportunities. The intern will have the opportunity to demonstrate application of knowledge of finance to real-world financial modeling, analysis, and reporting with company’s Finance team.

Requirements

• Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting major
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Aptitude for mathematics
• Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assists with financial modeling.
• Provides general accounting support.
• Provides support for annual budgeting process.
• Assists with statistical analysis and other special projects.
• Presents data-driven recommendations to the finance and accounting teams.
• Prepares monthly/quarterly financial analysis packets for management.
• Assists with month-end financial reports.
• Posts journal entries.
• Helps with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation.
• Assists with audits.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts.
• Collaborates with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts.
• Performs credit checks.
• Assists with data entry.
