About The Position

Flint Group is a leading investment holding company focused on creating long-term value by investing in private companies capable of generating returns over decades. Unlike traditional private equity firms, Flint Group operates with a unique structure that enables us to pursue long-term strategies and investments in innovation, workforce development, technology adoption, and supply chain improvements. Flint’s team is comprised of experienced investors and operators, guided by a vision to generate sustainable competitive advantage and deliver value for all stakeholders. Flint Group invests in lower middle-market companies, with a typical investment size ranging from $60MM to $120MM, and we focus on long-term value creation without the use of enterprise leverage. We partner closely with management teams to excel in the Five Key Battles™: People, Systems and Processes, Execution, Customer Intimacy, and Product Leadership. Our summer internship program is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in investment strategies, financial analysis, and continuous improvement in a collaborative and high-growth environment. The Flint Group Accounting Summer Internship Program is a 10-week immersive experience where you’ll gain exposure to real-world investment decision-making, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic business operations. Throughout the program, you’ll be paired with an Associate to contribute directly to live investment opportunities and work with portfolio companies to drive value. Interns will work closely with senior leadership and subject matter experts, gaining insight into Flint’s unique approach to creating long-term value. The internship is designed to give participants the opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, while also exploring the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations.
