About The Position

The Intern, Finance provides a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting while working alongside experienced finance professionals. The intern will assist in analyzing financial data, tracking budget variances, and supporting process improvements within the department. The selected candidate will work a mobile schedule at our Columbia, SC facility.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA and completed sophomore year.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools; experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial reports, analyzing budget variances, and identifying key drivers of financial performance.
• Support the finance team in month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Help develop and refine process documentation related to SAP and other financial systems.
• Participate in forecasting and budgeting activities, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct research and data analysis to support financial decision-making.
• Assist in financial audits by gathering supporting documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
