About The Position

Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities 1. Automation & Test Streamlining Develop and refine Python scripts to automate failure verification test processes. Improve test efficiency by creating tools for data parsing, reporting, and workflow standardization. Document code, test procedures, and results to ensure maintainability and repeatability. Failure Verification & Analysis Perform basic failure verification testing on optical transceivers, including electrical and optical performance checks. Assist engineers in root‑cause identification by collecting test data, performing preliminary analysis, and summarizing findings. Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, optical power meters, BERTs, and temperature chambers (training provided). Maintain accurate logs of failures, test results, and observations. Education & Experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering, or a related field. Basic proficiency with Python (e.g., scripting, data manipulation, hardware communication). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings. Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
