Specific work schedules shall be determined by the department based on internship assignment and course requirements. 35 – 40 hours. In office. Internships are non-exempt positions. Requirements

  • Current Student or Recent Graduate: Interns must be currently enrolled in a program of study or a recent graduate (within 12 months) from an accredited college/university or technical/vocational institution and be in good academic standing. Transcripts are required as a supplement to this application.
  • Cover Letter: Applicants must submit an essay expressing their interest in the program and what they hope to gain from their experience. The essay should be in Microsoft Word and not exceed one page. The essay is required as a supplement to this application.
  • Background Check: Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Interns must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be punctual with reliable transportation, have a strong work ethic and maintain confidentiality when required.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience in facilities management by assisting with the maintenance, operations, and improvement of building systems and infrastructure.
  • Responsibilities include supporting daily facility operations, coordinating vendor services, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • This role offers exposure to the logistics of maintaining efficient and safe facilities in a dynamic environment.
