From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. As an Environmental Scientist/Geologist Intern, you will work alongside professionals and assist in environmental site assessment and remediation projects using knowledge professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals and objectives and learn to solve problems of diverse scope. This internship is available in Hamilton, NJ

Requirements

  • Current College or Graduate Student pursing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geological Engineering.
  • Ability to work on various task depending on skill sets (Ground water sampling, soil sampling, project recovery, remedial system O&M, construction management, design, various remedial actions, ecological evaluations, data evaluation, and report writing)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a variety of field assignments including, groundwater sampling, soil sampling and system Operation and Maintenance (O&M).
  • Assist in field oversight of subcontractors once trained.
  • Assist in preparation of technical reports and assist in site evaluation data to progress projects toward regulatory closure.
  • Establish strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with senior-level staff.
  • Participate in Kleinfelder’s safety culture.
