About The Position

The Enterprise Support Specialist provides technical support to corporate end-users in both corporate offices and remote locations globally. This role involves assisting with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop and laptop computers, applications, and related technologies, while adhering to Medidata's established standards and processes. The position requires independent analysis, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality support and customer service excellence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency supporting Windows 10 desktop/laptop PCs.
  • Experience supporting Mac OSX desktop/laptop systems.
  • Understanding of basic Networking concepts including TCP/IP.
  • Experience installing software, patches, and updates on desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment, and servers.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, and printing problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including via telephone.
  • Ability to lift and handle packages/hardware weighing approximately 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Collaborate with ES Systems and Network team to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, print servers, application servers, and administrative systems.
  • Train end-user community on appropriate use of approved Medidata hardware, software, and peripheral equipment by Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Inventory and perform maintenance/spot checks on all Medidata approved desktops, laptops, and peripheral hardware.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Support engineers to collect and validate functional requirements of technical solutions.
  • Review, acknowledge, and resolve all assigned end-user tickets using the Ticketing System.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned or directed.
