Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering) from an accredited institution with 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Minimum completion of sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution
  • Required: Resume, Letter of Recommendation from a professor in the engineering department where the student is enrolled
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes required
  • Strong attention to detail/data gathering skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Hands-on problem solving
  • Creation of technical documentation
  • Data analysis
  • Proficient with hand tools
  • Typing and computer skills
  • Interpret a variety of instructions
  • Conduct technical presentations/demonstrations as necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of core STEM fundamentals including physics, thermodynamics, and/or programming
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
  • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
  • AutoCAD, Solidworks, Microsoft suite

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical engineering duties (CAD Layout, Light Fabrication and Assembly, testing and production support) as assigned
  • Assist in component fabrication and testing
  • Work with Engineering team to support any design activities
  • Handle part design independently to completion
  • Work with Tooling vendors to complete Design For Manufacturing
  • Write test protocols and perform the testing protocols as required
  • Responsible to run analytical tools based on requirement
  • Work productively both individually or as part of a team
  • Other duties as required and assigned
