About The Position

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve basic technical issues.

  • Must use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a variety of solutions, conclusions, or approaches to a problem.

  • Must have intermediate Microsoft computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to see within the normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally.
  • Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and stand.
  • Must be able to hear running machinery.
  • Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE.
  • Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively.
  • Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination.
  • Must regularly be able to reach overhead.
  • Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma and currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Completion of coursework relevant to the major is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their Bachelor’s degree
  • Must pass pre-screening including a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of small engineering projects.
  • Performs basic data entry functions to support the design/assembly of engineering projects.
  • Duplicates basic shop tooling into CAD drawings.
  • Assists in the assembly of engineering projects with the use of simple hand tools.
  • Works when scheduled and complies with the company attendance policy.
  • Observes and practices all safety procedures and personnel policies.
  • Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
  • Confers with manager/lead to recommend changes such as equipment utilization, production methods, and procedures to increase department efficiency and promote improvement.
  • Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g., safety glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.)
  • Performs other duties as required.
