About The Position

The Test Engineering intern would be primarily involved in supporting the MCU product and test group in validating and characterizing silicon for new product development and release. The job responsibility will also involve automated test equipment or bench-level setups for data collection for new products to support the release process. This involves working with product, test, and design engineers to identify new product requirements for validation and characterization. The intern would have a tremendous opportunity to contribute and learn in a fast-paced semiconductor company during the new product development cycle. The individual is expected to have knowledge and experience in the use of embedded systems, programming knowledge, data analysis, and a good understanding of semiconductor device physics and operation. The candidate should also exhibit excellent communication skills including writing technical reports and documentation of projects. The candidate will also collaborate with multiple groups within the organization and learn from technical experts in product, test, and design disciplines.

Requirements

  • Must currently be enrolled in a bachelor's level degree in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Technical background in embedded systems.
  • Experience in software programming and implementation.
  • Systematic approach to problem solving and organization.
  • Self-motivated, highly driven good communication skills
  • Candidate must be able to work in person for this position.
  • Minimum 15 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation date spring 2026.
  • Knowledge and experience with microcontrollers and semiconductor physics.
  • Knowledge and experience with automated test equipment and/or laboratory bench equipment.
  • Experience with scripting languages (i.e. Perl/Python).
  • Experience with PIC16, PIC18, ARM and/or AVR microcontrollers.
  • Experience with processing, analysis, and presentation of data (i.e. Excel, JMP, etc.).
