Williams International is seeking 25 engineering summer interns for 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines within the aerospace industry. Interns will be assigned to one of several engineering areas, including Mechanical, Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Chemical/Material Science, and Quality. Each area presents distinct responsibilities and learning opportunities, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios and contribute to innovative projects that drive the aerospace sector forward. In the Mechanical engineering area, interns will engage in design tasks, 3D modeling, creating 2D prints, and laying out engine systems. They will also work on bill of materials, stackup analysis, and structural analysis. The Aerodynamics team will focus on design and performance analysis, particularly concerning fluid flow requirements. Thermodynamics interns will be involved in engine cycle modeling, comparing engine data, and conducting cycle and thermo analysis. The Electrical engineering interns will design embedded control systems, develop engine control software, and perform component and assembly testing. Software interns will be tasked with development and troubleshooting, while those in Manufacturing will explore additive manufacturing, advanced automation, electrical processes, and test methods. Chemical/Material Science interns will work on materials and processes, chemical coatings, welding processes, and penetrant inspections. Lastly, Quality interns will focus on reliability, requirements, inspection of buy and make parts, manufacturing process reviews, and failure investigations. This internship is designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning, aligning with Williams International's commitment to delivering quality products and services that exceed customer expectations.
