About The Position

We are looking for motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineer for our summer program to join our team! The main objective for each intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in air quality and regulatory compliance for a wide range of natural gas pipelines and facilities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring in engineering disciplines including Chemical or Mechanical.
  • Minimum completion of sophomore level engineering courses.
  • Self-motivated individuals with involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Above average GPA.

Responsibilities

  • Review current federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations that impact natural gas gathering and transmission facilities.
  • Assess facility’s compliance with authorizations.
  • Interact with operations, engineering and other environmental staff.
  • Conduct field visits to facilities in the west Texas region.
  • Become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
  • Perform process simulation and system modeling.
  • Conduct gas and fluid flow measurements.
  • Perform pipe and vessel sizing calculations.
  • Understand equipment functions and maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with day to day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminal systems.
