About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern. This position offers an opportunity to apply classroom-learned skills to programs supporting the defense of the country. GDMS employees collaborate closely with customers to develop solutions for high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects aligned with the core mission. Requirements

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology
  • Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • Preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher in the degree program
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire (preferred at time of hire)
  • Meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • U.S. citizenship is required
