Requirements

  • Recently completed a bachelor’s degree in engineering or life sciences. Could be pursuing a master’s degree in engineering, physical science, or life science discipline.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Expanded knowledge of engineering or scientific processes.
  • Ability to apply complex engineering or scientific concepts to support department or company projects.
  • Ability to analyze problems, contribute to decisions, and assist in the design and implementation of solutions to resolve engineering or scientific issues that are intermediate to advance in complexity.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing engineering activities by performing assigned tasks that develop familiarity with medical device production processes, engineering practices, and regulatory requirements such as FDA guidelines and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting process and production data to support quality investigations, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects. Prepare reports and summaries that contribute to data‑driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality personnel, and production staff to gather technical details, clarify requirements, and resolve questions related to materials, component specifications, or equipment performance.
  • Contribute to process improvements and problem-solving efforts, helping develop solutions to routine and moderately complex issues related to yield, efficiency, equipment capability, or product quality.
  • Support validation and documentation activities, including process documentation updates, work instructions, and verification of engineering changes while learning proper document control practices.
  • Perform accurate data entry into manufacturing and quality systems (e.g., ERP, MES, or document control platforms) to ensure compliance, traceability, and maintenance of high-quality records.
