About The Position

Guidehouse Energy Providers helps utilities and energy companies stay ahead of the curve as the industry rapidly transitions to one that requires cleaner fuel supply, increased reliability, improved resilience, and new business models. Our Energy Providers practice provides individuals the opportunity to serve our Energy clients in the areas of business strategy development, the clean energy transition, sustainability, organizational strategy, technology strategy, market analysis, financial modeling, operational analysis, process improvement, change management, technology implementation, risk management, compliance monitoring, and program management. We deliver compelling, high impact solutions to our clients' toughest business and technology problems. We translate strategy into action. The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs Interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of Guidehouse clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience. Requirements

  • Applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
  • Minimum Years Degree Status: Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027)
  • Would not require sponsorship now or anytime in the future to work in the United States; Students possessing F-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed
  • Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location

Nice To Haves

  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Business, Data Science, Environmental Science, Economics, Engineering, Management/Information Systems, Public Policy, Pre-law or a related discipline
  • Strong interest and/or experience in the energy industry, sustainable energy sources, energy reliability, energy regulatory compliance, energy markets, and/or consulting industries
  • Interest in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
  • Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
  • Heightened attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an interest in learning more about the energy transition
