Our West Union, SC manufacturing plant is looking for an Embedded Firmware Intern to join our Wireless Hardware R D team. In this role, you will design, modify and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. In addition, you will serve as an important collaborator within the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Engineering degree program, or related field
• Basic understanding of electronics engineering fundamentals, digital circuit and peripherals, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, testing methodologies and techniques
• Intermediate embedded C programming
• Intermediate Python programming

Nice To Haves

• Graduate level course work in related degree program
• Relevant work experience
• Experience with real-time operating systems

Responsibilities

• Implement low level drivers required for a new design with embedded C programming
• Develop and debug test code/scripts using Python aiming for test automation
• Create and run test setups, analyze logs and generate reports
• Prepare documentation for coding and validation
• Basic understanding of electronics engineering fundamentals, digital, test instruments, methodologies and techniques
