About The Position

TYLin is looking for an intern to join our Chicago office for the Summer of 2026. As an Electrical Engineering Designer Intern supporting the Water Solutions Team, you'll gain the opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse projects. You will assist with a variety of electrical projects in the areas of water, wastewater, and infrastructure electrical systems. This internship is your chance to be part of a collaborative community where you can expand your knowledge and sharpen your skills through hands-on, meaningful work.

Requirements

• Currently in a BS or MS degree program with a focus in Electrical Engineering
• Practical knowledge of three-phase electrical systems and components
• Ability to read electrical on-line diagrams
• Computer modeling for Power Studies and Arc Flash Analysis
• Proficiency in MATLAB, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and computational fluid dynamic modeling are a plus

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical contract drawings and specifications for various projects
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling
• Perform calculations and analysis
• Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff
• Attend site visits or inspections
• Collaborate on a variety of project types, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining high-quality standards
